Mimmit peinttaa 2025 Hiedanranta – street art event to attract artists from all over the world!

Mimmit peinttaa 2025 Hiedanranta, to be held in Hiedanranta, Tampere, from 26 to 28 June 2025, is an international street art event that brings together more than a dozen artists from all over the world. The event offers a unique opportunity to follow the creation of art and at the same time experience the vibrant and culturally historical factory environment of the Hiedanranta district.

The event, to be held in the summer of 2025, is the tenth annual street art event of the Mimmit peinttaa concept – and also its 10th anniversary. In honor of the anniversary year, Hiedanranta will host an ensemble that highlights female and non-binary artists in particular, and celebrates diversity and community in the field of street art.

Mimmit peinttaa 2025 Hiedanranta

Mimmit peinttaa is an annual street art event, and in the summer of 2025, it will be held for the 10th time. Mimmit peinttaa 2025 Hiedanranta will be a special anniversary event, celebrating the 10-year history of the Mimmit peinttaa street art concept, inviting both domestic and international artists to participate. In 2020, the event was already held with an international concept in Suvilahti, Helsinki, although under the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic. This time, we can invite artists to participate in the event in person.

Since 2015, the event has primarily been held in Helsinki, with editions in Kotka and Savonlinna. The event is organized by the Mimmit ry, a Helsinki-based urban culture association, and this year, the main partner is Hiedanrannan Kehitys Oy, which owns the former factory area and is responsible for the development and construction of the area into a new district for approximately 20,000 residents in Tampere.

The street art event enlivens the Hiedanranta district with impressive wall paintings, while promoting both local and international cultural offerings. The international visibility of Tampere and Hiedanranta is increasing, strengthening their position as creative and innovative hubs. The event also supports the Hiedanranta art program, which involves both temporary and permanent art installations in the area, aiming to delight, strengthen the identity of the new district, and create meaningful meeting spaces.

The event also represents interdisciplinary collaboration among various cultural actors, with the aim of providing alternative cultural content through additional events. More details on the side events will be released closer to the event.
